Ready Racking is when the store records a ticket as ready for the customer to pick up and adds that ticket to storage. There are two main ways to operate ready racking: (1) Conveyor Racking and (2) Last Name Racking.
Conveyor racking consists of storing bundles of items (tickets) on a slotted conveyor. Users can set up a Ready conveyor rack in Starchup by creating a rack with a number of slots, a starting number, a name including the words "Ready Rack", and a Ready Status. Then on the Ready Racking page, users can scan barcodes or type in numbers associated with a ticket and a slot number, thereby assigning that ticket to that slot. If the customer has other tickets on the conveyor, scanning the ticket will notify the user of the location of those tickets.
Last Name Racking
Last Name racking consists of storing tickets on free standing racks in alphabetical order by last name. Users can set up a Last Name ready rack in Starchup by creating a rack with a ONE slot, a name including the words "Last Name", and a Ready Status. Then on the Ready Racking page, users can scan barcodes or type in ticket numbers, thereby racking that ticket to the Last Name rack.
Racking a ticket to the Ready Rack will check for other tickets on that same order. If all tickets on the order are marked ready, the system will update the entire order to the Ready Status and, by default, notify the customer that their order is ready for pickup.
Note: if the ticket to be racked has any items set as Price Later, the system will notify the user.
